My approach to floral design is rooted in appreciation for the natural world, combined with a thoughtful and creative use of colour. I enjoy creating work that feels both expressive and harmonious, remaining true to my personal style while carefully interpreting and fulfilling each brief.
I have worked intentionally to gain experience across as many areas of floristry as possible. I have completed courses at Bath Flower School and Cambridge Flower School, which strengthened both my technical foundation and creative confidence.
I have independently managed wedding floristry projects at venues including Harlaxton Manor and The Barnsdale. In addition I have gained valuable freelance experience, including working for Kim at Dreamboats and Carousels for Mimi Bouchard's wedding at Holywell Hall. It was an inspiring experience for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a beautifully executed event. This opportunity allowed me to contribute to high-end wedding floristry while working collaboratively within an experienced team.
My design style is feminine, which I often describe as “untamed but purposeful.” I love creating arrangements that feel abundant, romantic, and natural while still being thoughtfully structured and intentional.
I have hosted floral workshops at Fika in Oakham and with Burrough Court, experiences which strengthened my ability to communicate creative techniques clearly while building warm connections with people. I truly enjoy sharing floristry with others and creating welcoming, inspiring spaces.
Building strong relationships with growers and suppliers is important to me, along with valuing quality, seasonality, and reliability in my sourcing. I have established relationships with the wonderful growers we have here in Rutland and the surrounding area, such as Fleur at White Goose, Vanessa at Barnyard Flowers, Barbara at Keythorpe, and The Flower Company Leicester.
In addition to my floristry experience, I bring strong retail and customer service skills.
I have successfully run my own dog walking business for ten years, demonstrating my reliability, work ethic, and ability to manage my own time and client relationships effectively. Prior to this, I spent two years as Assistant Store Manager at Lush in Peterborough, where I developed team leadership, organisation, and a high standard of customer care.
I am positive, friendly, and naturally chatty, and I thrive in environments where creativity and customer connection are equally valued. I would love the opportunity to contribute my skills, enthusiasm, and passion for floristry to your business.
